Gulf Wild™ is a registered program of the Gulf of Mexico Reef Fish Shareholder’s Alliance, a 501c(6) trade association representing IFQ fishermen and associated dealers who provide consumers year-round access to high-quality, responsibly-caught seafood year-round. Our mission is to unify and strengthen the reef fish industry to develop a sustainable resource through the use of individual fishing quotas — also known as catch shares. Alliance members agree to specific measures called Conservation Covenants that focus on the reducing by-catch, protecting the marine environment, and improving safety–thereby enhancing the economic value of the fishery.
The Gulf Wild™ name, brand, and associated Gulf Wild™ TransparenSea™ System were developed in partnership with a team of experts from respected industry, consumer, and ocean conservancy groups. Our primary partners include:

Walton Family Foundation
The Walton Family Foundation pursues a philanthropic mission established by Sam and Helen Walton, which began modestly in the small town of Bentonville, Arkansas. When Sam Walton opened the original “Walton’s Five and Dime” in 1950 he did so with a strong belief in the power of an individual to make a positive difference in his or her own life and community. Throughout a career that created Walmart, one of the world’s leading companies, Sam Walton believed strongly in achievement, and that included philanthropic commitment and results as well as corporate success. The Foundation’s commitment to addressing K-12 education reform, conservation of sensitive marine and freshwater environments, and economic development in the Delta Region of Arkansas and Mississippi is the result of constant and thorough evaluation and re-evaluation of strategic philanthropic investments that can deliver measurable, meaningful benefits.
